Fonts look too softened/smooth

Hi!

I'm on SuSE 10.0 with KDE and my fonts look too softened, especially when browsing the Internet (with FireFox, but the same goes for Konqueror). Sites don't look like they used to (when on WinXP).

I have installed all of my WinXP fonts and I have installed all the TrueType related applications from the installation cd. I've tried checking and unchecking the aliased/anti-aliased box, but nothing changes.

I have actually had this same problem before on SuSE and I managed to fix it, but I no longer don't remember how.

Most people on here seem to have the problem of fonts being not anti-aliased... I hope someone recognizes this problem though and knows how to fix it. Thanks!

Edit:
Actually, it kind of looks like this: http://developer.kde.org/~granroth/aadesktop.png. I guess a lot of people like it like that, but I don't.

Ok, I solved it myself. :)

Here's how: In the administration tool where you can log in as administrator to fix the fonts (I don't know what it's called in English) one can chose anti-aliasation and then custome that choice. So I checked the anti-aliasation box and then clicked customize and then I checked the box "except these intervals" (or something like that). Restarted FireFox and voila.
