Hey people

i have a problem with the fonts in my browsers. they are very small and i haven't got a clue how to make them larger (they way they are in windows) any help on that would be really appreciatet, its very annoying to browse the net with so small fonts.
I am running Debian.

Which browser?

both mozilla and konquerer.

In Mozilla there is a preferences option under one of the menus at the top. When that open, there will be an option for look (or something similar). There you can change your fonts.

I'm not sure about Konqueror.

thanks, but i think i need to get some microsoft fonts installed somehow. no what i chance the letters are still very small

Yep - you should get the Microsoft Truetype font package, generously donated to Linux by the philanthropic Mr Gates: as root

# apt-get install msttcorefonts

Hopefully they will be immediately accessible to your browser(s), and should show up in the menus.

Konqueror is really neat for resizing fonts: Shift/Scrollwheel zooms the size up and down. With good fonts this browser looks fantastic.

either that, or install mandrake 9.1, open the mandrake control centre>system>font manager and just click on "get windows fonts" and it drags them from the windows partition, configures and installs them.

all you need then is to select them for which ever app you want to use.
