Fluxbox - Setup Questions

Hi all

Made some good progress, just a few more loose ends to tie up.

I'll continue doing my own research but I'm going to see if any of you guys can cut down on the amount of time I am spending on this!

I'm running Kali.

1. Sound

A) I realised I do not have sound in Fluxbox. Quickly discovered that it was muted, so I installed gnome-alsamixer and got it working. However on reboot it resets itself. I believe I need too something to ~/.fluxbox/startup but having issues finding out what!

B) Also, I'd like themute/volup/voldown hardware buttons on my laptop to work.

2. Menu tidy up

A) I'd like to import the entire Kali Tools submenu structure into FLuxbox, is there a quick way to do this rather than manually?

B) I have numerous apps which I either do not use or are duplicates. For example, multiple file managers, shells, terminals, etc. Once I have chosen my default app of choice, I see no reason to have so many others installed.

How would I list all apps installed, so I can remove the ones I do not use?

3. Tabbing

A) How do I use the tabbing feature on FB on my laptop mousepad which only has 2mouse buttons, as default is using middle button?

4. Tuning Installation

A) While the installation is pretty fast anyway (SSD) I'd like to see if I can further tune up. Remove unnecessary components, startup services, etc.

Any tips, guides, etc? For example I can see I have some KDE stuff, I dont even use it.

Think that's it for now.

Few more:

5. Quick Network Access

On the default gnome, I had a bar at the top with icons for quickly toggling Bluetooth on/off and also a gui manager for Wifi Networks. Can I replicate this on the fluxbox menu bar?

EDIT: Sorted Wifi bit, just needed to add nm-applet & into startup file.

6. Alt-Tab Graphics

Alt-Tab works fine, but is there a way to enable to gui application list? I.E if I keep ALT pressed down I can see which order the apps can be tabbed in?

Code:
sudo alsactl store
Kali users are so funny. They make me grin.

Thanks. I actually found that solution well before, however the aslactl commmand was not found. Took me a long time to figure out to install the alsa tools to get this.
