Fluxbox doesn work with VNC after Gnome-installation

Hi

Im renting a dedicated server with Debian installed.
When I got it, I installed vncserver, xterm and fluxbox, and some other stuff.
To make fluxbox work with the VNC, I made a file with the line "fluxbox" in ~/.vnc/xstartup

Then some time later I installed gnome, just to test it, but when I tried to setup a VNC for one of the users, I got a grey screen with the Gnome-logo in the middle and a X instead of the mouse-icon.

I want to change it back to fluxbox again, but when I removed gnome, I get a grey screen when I connect with VNC.

What do I need to do to make it work with fluxbox again?

Thanks

Do you need VNC at all? Why don't you just use X or freenx?
