Hey all, I'm having a bit of a problem with GDM and Fluxbox.
I'm running gentoo, and kernel 2.6.10.
Now, I had my system up and running, when I decided to try openbox, so I emerged it(Naturally), and well... Didn't quite like openbox, so I wanted to go back and use fluxbox. However, when I choose Fluxbox in 'Sessions', it locks up. I have no choice but to ctr+alt+backspace to restart X.
I ran openbox --replace, if that would have anything to do with it.
I also checked /var/log/gdm/:0.log.1 through 4, just to see if there were any error messages there, and /var/log/X.org.log, the only error msg I can find is module i810 not missing, but that error message was always there.
Help please? Why is fluxbox suddenly locking up after emerging openbox?

Try using startx and see what happens,first
# rc-update deleate xdm default
then edit /etc/rc.conf and comment out
DISPLAYMANAGER="gdm"
then follow this;

then restart x
what happens then?
This is what I've never heard about;
I ran openbox --replace, if that would have anything to do with it.
I don't know what that did to xsession!
