floppy booting linux cd?

i have knoppix on a cd and i want to create a floppy that boots the cd when i turn my computer on.. i insert the cd and floppy, restart computer..
how do i make a floppy that does that??

i'm not 100% sure that you can. i have not heard of anyone running knoppix form their HDD. that is not to say that it cannot/does not happen, i personally have no experience with it.

that being said, if you run knoppix from cd, there seems to be no point in having a boot floppy.

You must install some boot loader that supports booting from CD to floppy disk. I'm not sure about LILO, but GRUB doesn't support booting from CD. :-(
