Floppy Bootdisk
Well , believe it or not, my secondary comp bios doesn't have the capapbility to boot from a cdrom ... :\ , I searched every single option in it for about an hour and nothing ... so .... I need a floppy disk for Mandrake 9.2 to get it to boot from the cdrom ... I don't have linux on either this, or my server pc, so can't use commands ... Have tried using an SBM bootdisk and that didn't work either .... I am just starting to use linux, and searching far and low for a damn floppy that will boot it has not been a great first experience, heh ... Does anyone have a relatively easy and straightforward method to do boot the CD from a floppy? (btw, trying to boot a Mandrake 9.2 disk)

On the first cd, there should be a Dos or Dosutils directory. In there will be a rawrite command and instructions for using it.
That will create your boot floppy (it can be used from Windows). |
