Unhappy Flash Plug-in in Opera doesn't seem to work...

Opensourcerers,

I am using Red Hat Linux 9 and use Opera as my web broser, recently I visited a site that requires flash plug-in... so I downloaded the plug-in and untar it for Opera... the problem is when I visited the same website it doesn't seem to display the page right because it needs flash... but when I check the list of the plug-ins, Flash is in there...

Please help!!!

Thanx!!!

Try file>preferences>plugins then select the flash plugin and hit apply

That's how I got mine running.

And then to check it, look here if you can make the flash links in the left column play you know it's working (and if you've got your sound working as well, you should have a bloody good laugh).

regards

John

p.s. if your connection is OK, then you could always check out the forums at Opera - Bookmarks>opera software>my opera>forums

You will have to copy the file /usr/lib/opera/plugins/operamotifwrapper-3 to /usr/lib/opera/plugins/operamotifwrapper
I don't know why this makes it work but it just does
