Flash Player only works partially on Debian/Firefox.

If I go to the test page on Adobe's web site, the demo installation works fine. Youtube videos work fine.

However, most other video sites do not work correctly, such as Vimeo, blip.tv, or PBS. I always get either a grey or black screen. Right-click menu seems to work fine.

Can someone provide some insight into this problem?

Thanks
Dan

Which version of Debian?
Code:
cat /etc/debian_version
Firefox or Iceweasel? And which version?
Code:
apt-cache policy iceweasel
What version of flash? Adobe Flash or Gnash?
Code:
apt-cache policy flashplugin-nonfree
If you are using Adobe flash how did you install it? Using flashplugin-nonfree from the Debian repos or flashplayer-mozilla from the debian-multimedia.org repo?

The more information you provide the easier it is for people to help you.

Go into the Firefox menu and look under Applications and make sure Gnash is not being used.

Debian 6.0.3 / Firefox 9.0.1 / Flash nonfree 11.1.

Nevermind, I just needed to reboot after I installed flashplugin-nonfree from the Debian repos.

Thanks.
