Flash player doesn't display correctly in any browser

Hi,

I'm running Kubuntu and have tested flash video sites with firefox, chromium and rekonq. I have installed all the available packages from Software Management but flash videos still don't display correctly. All get is a small rectangle of video on the bottom left hand side of the video box (which is otherwise grey). Audio works fine.

Can anyone tell what is wrong?! Thanks in advance for your help.

Dave.

It may be worth de-installing flash using your package manager and then re-installing it. If it's the same, de-install again and try downloading from the Adobe site instead.

Hi,

I once had this issue. I'd recommend to look into the directory where the browserplugins reside. Probably something like /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins. Find out if there are other plugins than libflashplayer.so, find out if flashvideos run properly in you browser if there is only libflashplayer.so in the plugins-directory.
