Flash not working under firefox 7

Hi,

I have a problem in getting flash to work on my firefox7.I downloaded and untared firefox7 X86_64 under /usr/lib/.

But when i launch firefox7 i get the following error message

Quote:
"LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so [/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64]"
The flash i have is 11.0.1.151 64 Bit
Quote:
file /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, stripped
Strangely,i dont understand why is "firefox-bin" in firefox7 a 32-bit,despite the fact that i downloaded a X86_64.

Quote:
file firefox-bin
firefox-bin: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, stripped
Every thing works fine for me under firefox-3 & the firefox-bin in firefox3 is 64 bit.

Quote:
file ../firefox-3.6.23/firefox-bin
../firefox-3.6.23/firefox-bin: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.15, stripped

Can any one help me with this ? Thanks

Can you download it yourself and see if the firefox-bin in the tarball is a 32bit?

Sorry the link should be ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/re...-x86_64/en-GB/ i gave a 5.0 link

The firefox-bin in the tarball is 64bit:

Code:
[adamk@memory firefox]$ file firefox-bin
firefox-bin: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, stripped
I'm guessing you accidentally downloaded the wrong one.
