Flash Glitch in Ubuntu 8.0.4

Hi all, Im having a bit of a problem here, I recently just switched over to linux, and for a few days it was working fine, but now everytime I try to play a flash video, sounds don't play at all on my system... period. It only happens when I start to watch a video on youtube..... im guessing its an error with the Linux release of adobe flash.... is there any way to fix this?

Hi can I ask what version of Flash you are using?
From memory I think it is version 9 in 8.04, I fix this issue by uninstalling Flash 9 and installing Flash 10 from the Adobe website, though since I upgraded to 8.10 I don’t have this problem anymore...

If you installed it through the packet manager or firefox it should be registered, so you just have to open Synaptic which is in System-Administration-Synaptic and search for Flash and uninstall it
Sorry I’m not at my Computer at the moment, I can give you better instructions when I get home …
