Does a newbie know how to mount it? Make a folder somewhere and then as root enter the commands
mount /dev/sda /folder/somewhere
there are other options you can use. For more info read man mount
well, if u/they don't know how to mount, then search www.linuxquestions.org on how to. the things is not to just wait for someone to hold ur hand but post a question, search for the answer and keep checking back. that is how u learn. mounting has been posted many many times here
Thanks for the comments - I'll try these. As a newbie, one of the problems is learning the new language of linux when you've been using windows. So knowing how to mount starts with knowing that that's what you call connecting a disk or device in linux. That's why these forums are great in allowing the newbie to ask the stupid questions that, after time, patience and persistance, turn into knowledge.
