Flaky Control Panel

The desktop Control Panel in my Damn Small Linux distro shows an incorrect "channel number" and no "SSID" number for Prism 2 Setup (wireless USB adaptor). When I enter the correct info I get connected to the internet. HOWEVER the correct info is not retained and the incorrect info is returned to the control panel. I believe info entered into a control panel should be retained until it is changed or deleted. Anyone experience this strange behavior and/or have a solution to making changes permanent in DSL control panel. Many thanks.

Dsl

Hey klasact,

I have to assume that you've installed DSL on to your harddrive. I can safely guess this as DSL works really well as a live ditro, but, I have found, quite a few bugs exist with the harddrive install. It really is best therefore to get in touch with our DSL buddies.

If you do want to try find any broblem on DSL, it's always best to start by trying the find the script that's giving you trouble. This involves figuring out which scripts, be it lua or shell scripts, get called when and where as you click buttons averywhere. Once you do find the script, you can then read through it and try and spot something really obvious.

I realise this is really crap advise that doesn't answer any questions, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth anyway.
