screw linux

not much wonder linux is fer geeks..man what a pain in the bottom...I reinstalled several times and finally just befor smashing the box with an axe and blowing my head off..I decided ONE MORE INSTALL.same as above only I rebooted befor lilo -v..wow ..it worked..I managed to partition the drive make the file system mount the drive and install bl3..it boots from the hd when I hit the power button..but now that I can see that it is absolutely useless how do I get all the add ons off my win95box transfered to the linbox..I need to know how to use what I have..I can view directories on the drive but can not see the floppy or cd drive..can I copy tgz to a win floppy and then see them on a linux...AHHHHHHH
