firewall


hi i have recently installed ubuntu.
how can i enable and disable firewall.
is firewall works same as windows.

Most people install a graphical frontend to the firewalls. If I remember, Ubuntu probably has Firestarter installed by default.

I never have relied on graphical frontends, IMO they tend to complicate matters most. The best way is to configure IPtable manually. True there is a bit of learning curve, but once you are through, you can do whatever you want.
