Firefox will not load any internet pages

I have installed firefox but when I run it loads but it cannot load a internet page Konqueor runs fine loads internet pages but not Firefox I have been searching for the answer

I'd say proxy settings are the first thing to check. Make sure the proxy settings in Firefox match those in Konqueror.

Both are running direct connection to the internet, I am connect to the router through ethernet

Firefox loads up but will not display any web pages

Can you access pages by IP address? For example http://64.179.4.146 should take you to the LQ homepage. Also, do you have a web server running on your local system, or somewhere else on the local network? If so, can you access this in Firefox?
