I think I have just been gibbed. How the heck did I miss that... okay I'm going to try those new sources because uh, they probably work, as opposed to the ones I have now, which don't work... I'll post back with the results... Thanks a ton for that link man.

Don't sweat it! I would bet upwards of 80% of what gets asked in the newbies forum has already been answered several times through the site.

In any case, using some of the testing repositories would help you out, as the errors weren't really errors, just apt complaining that you had bad entries in the sources.lst file.

Well, not only are those entries bad, they're the only entries I have at all. I'm not quite certain where i even got them.
