Firefox getting stuck in between

I am using openSuse 12.3. It came with firefox-18. I recently downloaded a fresh copy of firefox-34.0.5 from mozilla site in that .tar format. I extracted it started that firefox from within that folder. For some websites its working fine but for some websites like while downloading the google chrome, or while logging into LQ the browser is getting stuck. No work and nothing. I have to close it and start it all over again. Still some sites (infact most of the sites) cannot be opened.
Is there any way that I can get rid of this problem???

Maybe it helps to throw away some extensions? They sould be stored in
/home/user/.mozilla/firefox/someString.default/

Maybe they are not compatible... but I am just guessing

As for add-ons there are two extensions of which one is disabled and the other enabled. Among the appearance there is only the default. In that plugins only one is there. I have disabled and enabled and tried such things but no luck.

You can go here to check plugins:

Maybe it has to do with cookies that cannot be stored by some reason? Permission i. e.

Well.

I don't really understand the problem. In the same machine I have kde and gnome installed side by side. Though the firefox in kde works with the problem the one in gnome works absolutely fine. I just don't know what this problem is and what is the remedy.
