Firefox blocking pop-ups-how to undo

I'm trying to subscribe to a service offered by a website
I use but can't get it because Firefox blocks it as a pop-up.
How can I allow the pop-ups to come through?

look for the red cross icon in the status bar and/or in the top of the view . Click on it to get options to disable it

I agree...I'm not sure if this falls under this topic, but it's not hard at all...

For Firefox 1.5
Edit > Preferences > Content

There's a checkbox "Block Popup Windows". Uncheck that and you're good to go.

You are right in what you say, for sure... but who's to say that the poster has only ever used Linux before, and probably just recently, and presumes firefox is a part of it? Newbie post is here for a reason ain't it?

Go easy lol!

matt.

Even though your statement may be true, you could have worded
it way more politely and in tone with our over-all LQ friendliness;

I think this post would be better off under Linux-Software, and
you may want to ask a moderator to move your post accordingly by
reporting it.
There's no need to become all huffed up, specially since a) he's
quite new (Sept 06 and 3 posts) and b) you haven't been around
for longer than him.

Cheers,
Tink
