Firefox and HTML association

I installed Firefox a couple of days ago and i tried to change the default HTML association to this application.
But each time i try to open an html document, if firefox is already opened, it keeps on asking me for an alternate profile to use.
Any ideas how this problem can be solved?
Thanx in advance...

You can use mozilla's remote option:
http://www.mozilla.org/unix/remote.html

I posted a script on this site a few weeks ago that you can use to see if the browser is already running.
