Tarball installation
I'm sorry but i don't want to use RPM files , i want to install from the tarball , please anyone guide me...

Download the source tarball and then I would mkdir firefox <thats in your home directory> move the tar.bz2 to firefox and tar xvfj <filename> then cd to the new file created,I think it is mozilla. then ./configure make and su make install. You will most likely be missing something. If you get a error track down what it is looking for and try ./configure again, good luck and have fun

Different
Sorry but the installation files are different from the normal ,
devanderan@linux:~/firefox-installer> ls config.ini firefox-installer-bin install.ini watermark.png firefox-installer header.png license.txt xpi |
try typing ./firefox-installer or sh firefox-installer, I believe I installed from the tarball and it will open up a GUI to guide you through the install, but one of those commands should get you to the GUI
