finding the driver used by my DVD writer

I have Samsung 22X sata DVD writer. The problem is Damn Small Linux cannot read from my DVD writer ( I think because of 2.4 kernels).DSL can read my SATA hard drive.I have Etch, Ubuntu 8.04, PC Linux OS etc and the writer works fine. I want to find out which module it is using. So I can check out whether that module is available in DSL ( or in 2.4 kernels). Thanks for any help in advance

Hya

I think "lshw" would do (under whatever working system).

Happy Penguins!

Thank you kaz2100. I looked in Slackware 12.2 and PClinux OS. "lshw" was missing. But there was "lshal". It gave me the required information. I did not check Etch or Ubuntu. The driver for my dvd writer is in the module sr_mod. Thanks again.
