finding modem using kppp


ive just installed kde, and now im trying to setup my internet but when i try and find the modem, it cant so does anyone have any tips or anything. also it is a compatalble modem and everything should work just cant find it.

If you know which COM port your modem is on then according to this small list-chart-thingy you can setup appropriately your Inet. connection.

ttyS0 = COM 1
ttyS1 = COM 2
ttyS2 = COM 3
ttyS3 = COM 4

I've heard of USB modem problems and can't say exactly there. Maybe a few more specifics would help us.
