Finding Internet Connnect time!

hi
i use red hat 9.I activate my internet connection thru the "Network Device Control"(i created the connection using it). However i am unable to find any reference to the amount the time i used the net.(like the timer in Windows). Is there a way of finding out the time i browsed the net.

Thanks
