Finding drivers for my Dynex wireless card

I am new to Ubuntu / Linux, I just installed it along side of Windows 7. I have a Dynex wireless PCI card that I cannot get to work. I am also new to using a Command Prompt so tthe most basic help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Command prompt? You are thinking of a DOS shell. In linux, its just the command line, or terminal.

As far as your card, which one do you have? What model? And what distro are you using?

The best I found for you is this:

http://www.overclockers.com/forums/a.../t-535626.html

FYI, I found that link using google. I see you just recently signed up on linuxquestions, and didn't bother at all to search the internet. Next time, use the link in my signature...

Please show the output from this command :
lspci -vnn | grep -iA 10 net

I don't think the 'Dynex wireless card' is an "original product".
The required driver is hopefully for a well known chip.
