file upload through ftp software


Sir

I am using ftp third party software in my client desktop.
My internet server is squid proxy server. I configure the proxy setting (http) in this software and connect the host site. but when i want to upload or download file it cannot work. actually there are some authentication in my squid server. when I browse any site I have to give user id and password to access internet.

proxy setting

http

host address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xx
port3128
user id = soumalya
passwd = soumalya123

can u pls sort out this porblem?

Is your third party ftp software properly configured to connect to the proxy?

i have configure http proxy setting in ftp software(client machine)and with this i acen access my site folders but cant upload or download anything.

Sir

suppose I connect www.xyz.com as my remote site. I connect smoothly. but when i try to upload or download to / from this remote site shows ftp error. but when I do the same from my linux server machine(gftp) its working well. but not from my windows client machine with cute ftp software.

sir

suppose i want to upload 50 kb file from local to remote site after some time the remote site window show a file with same name and extenn but the size is 00.and the file progress shows 0%.

Please give a snapshot of your error...I guess your ftp software is not configured properly with proxy server..Check for the connection settings...
