with a new install ,on the full disk ( sdb1,2,3,4,5) i would just reformat it .gparted is in the install dvd but i like SystemRescueCd http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page
just remove all partitions on the second disk and reinstall fedora 8 .
My custom lay out is
/dev/sdb1 10 gig ntfs to share with windows , next install i am getting rid of it
/dev/sdb2 130 gig for data
/dev/sdb3 / boot
/dev/sdb5 3 gig swap
/dev/sdb6 5 gig /home
/dev/sdb7 41 gig / for fedora
if i mess up the os then i just reinstall fedora 8 on sdb7 only and i am back in bis.
all this was set up with the install disk back in my fedora 5 days
and then again sdb4 to 7 with SystemRescueCd
