File sharing in linux with limited access

Hello

i want to sharing some files and folders in a big folder like : /var/www/folder1/folder2/file1

and some next times i want share /var/www/folder3/... plus above path.

in general , when user logged in or view shared file just 2 or 3 shared path been seen.
after all, user restricted in /var/www and can not go to before path like explorer /var/.

which technology we can use? ssh? ftp? smb?
but smb is on local network, i want use it for remote and local...

ssh is not a technology .You can't copy the file using ssh, but you can use scp which transfer data using ssh (for secure coping the share).Since you are planning to share resource across the network as well as local .I personally feel vsftpd could be a wright choice

mkdir /account

mount ---bind /var/www /account/www

mount --bind /opt/apps /account/apps

useradd -d /account account
passwd account

Make the permanent entry in fstab so that mount stays permanent even the server reboot

vi /etc/vsftpd.conf

chroot_local_user=yes --Lock the user to the home directory

service vsftpd restart
