Angry file not found

When attempting to run a script at the prompt I receive the following message at the prompt

sh-4.3$ .: checkdisk.sh: file not found

however if I list the file, it is clearly there and executable

I'm running Fedora 21 on a Presario CQ61 that I just converted.

Notable is that I upgraded to Fedora 21 from Fedora 20 just yesterday and previously did not experience this.

from the first post the terminal is in " / " folder .
Is your script ALSO directly on the root / folder
if so
you MUST BE ROOT TO RUN IT

cd to the location of this script and use the above command " ./checkdisk.sh "
but if it is not executable you will get an error
Code:
cd /to/the/location/of/the/script
sh checkdisk.sh
