file format issuses


hai friends this is arun and i am new to the linux. i was changed my file format i dont know how to change the file format and if i opened the file i will comes like this !@#$^&*({}:!@#$%^&*()#!@#$%^&*()!@#$%^&@#$%^&* please guys help me .

I have no idea what you're talking about. Can you please start again and try to example things very simply. Which version of linux are you using? Is it now installed or not installed? What file format did you start out with? What program are you using to try and read the file? What sort of data is on the file?

Please, the more details you give the more chance there is to find a solution.
