File deleted but icon still there


In certain folders. Like /home/myfiles When I attempt to delete a file it will delete but the coresponding icon wont go away till I later (After a reboot maybe?) Im new to linux so I don't know what It could be.

thats strange, are you looking at it in konqueror? are you deleting it from the cli or konqueror? try hitting the refresh button in the filebrowser that you use.

Yeah Im using Konqueror and refresh does work. I just wonder why a manual refresh is required in in some folders and others its not.

and to delete it do you right click -> move to trash? and it's still there?

Yeah thats what its doin but since you suggested a browser refresh and it works that way I guess I can live with that.
