File associations

For some reason when I open a file downloaded in Chromium, it opens it in Firefox!

Similarly GNOME Do opens files in Firefox.

Why is that?

How to make it use the proper program?

Where are the associations stored?

None currently, just Openbox + tint2.

I've used Xfce and GNOME before on this installation, and still have them installed, if that changes anything.
