FGRLX Module Compile Info Required

Hello

I installed the ATI drivers in order to get 3D capabilities. That seems to have worked well. However, I can't use Sax2 to configure the video card now. When I make changes, I get a corrupted desktop. I then have to do a hard reboot. One of the how to's I've read (from Suse) is to recompile the FGRLX module. My question is, is there another way to fix it so Sax2 will work, or is recompiling the FGLRX module the way to go? In either case I need some info on how to go about correcting this.

Thanks
Harpo

hi, i hope this suggestion can reveal useful, i don't remember that is possible to set the fglrx module from sax2 (but if someone know that is possible, please post it) so i suggest to edit manually your xorg config file to let xorg use this module, but before do that be sure that the module is loaded.

hope that this can help
