few utilities run automatically after a bootup.

I m using red hat linux 9.0 . I have been facing a problem for few weeks.whenever I boot my pc in linux, few
utilities like 2 console windows , my home , open office
and evolution mail are running automatically.
expecting a quick response to fix the problem.

which window manager are you using? Gnome by any chance?

you probably selected "save current set up". if that's the case then close everything and go to log out. then click the "save current setup" tick box and log out. then back in....


however, i think you can do this with KDE also....
