Few questions regarding some services

I installed the Apache2, MySQL and ProFTPd packages on my Mandrake 9.2 installation. But now where do I manage the services. The Apache conf file seems to be pointing to /var/www/html, but I have no write priviliges there.

Also, how do I manage the FTP service, like adding users and setting their home dir and permissions.

Thanks already,
a Linux

Did those programs come with documentation or manual pages that you can read with 'man' or 'info'? Check out the Apache website for documentation on it, since it's quite extensive. The other programs may have documentation on their websites as well, if you can't find it on your computer.
