yo all, so, this may be a re-post but ive not the time to search though 40+ pages of topics,,, i been running mandrake 9.2 for a few months now.

1. is linux and its different distributions (mandrake, debian, suse, etc) all open source,?

2. if so, is it possible to obtain the source code for linux and its different distributions?

3. is linux and its different distributions (mandrake, debian, suse, etc) all coded in C or C++?

4. is linux and/or its different distributions required to be opensource by the government? (i dont remember where i heard this one)
