For a lot of people it isn't,for some it is.It's what will you do.
You should've described your problem better.

That depends on your hardware and what you're doing with the system.

I agree with alan_ri...describe your problem better. Say what's going on, with clear error(s), and the hardware or situation you're in. Also, SPELL YOUR WORDS...

The default Fedora 10 installation from the release DVD's is known to be unstable (some trivial errors also, next to the usual bleeding edge problem). You certainly need to upgrade the system with the most recent FC10 packages, as most of the burning problems is solved by that. You might need to install the updated yum package from a downloaded RPM package, because the default version has some repo-finding problem, which is rather tricky, as the updater has to be updated first to apply all other updates.

I've encountered the same thing - I just installed Fedora 10 today on an Acer Aspire 5100 and in the 3 hours that it has been installed I've had to perform 4 hard boots. I'll detail them here while I run the patches:
1) While attempting to run the initial config (hardware details, license, etc). Total hang, no real errors that I could see
2) I launched the network config to enable the wireless - this one at least produced a message, (to upgrade the driver) though I had to dig into dmesg to find it. On screen nothing showed, it just hung. Nothing seemed to work from the keyboard at all.
3) KSpaceDuel Space Arcade Game. Just hung, no message, no errors. Totally unresponsive hang.
4) KStars Desktop Planetarium. Just hung completely on launch, no errors. Again totally unresponsive.

In comparison to both Fedora 8 and Vista which the machine was running until this evening, Fedora 10 is *not* making a good impression. I'll update again once I have installed the 188 bug fixes, 59 enhancement updates, and 19 security updates.
The sad thing is I downloaded it just today, and if these enhancements are so important, they should be noted there on the download page.
Honestly, if I hadn't seen this thread, I would have just chucked Fedora and installed something else.

Ok, following up:

After installing all patches/updates/etc, the machine now hangs right after I log in. It appears that I'm now having plenty of errors, as dmesg is throwing screens and screens of messages:
[drm:radeon_gem_ib_get] *ERROR* Major case fail to allocate IB from frelist ffff
[drm:radeon_cs2_ioctl] *ERROR* ib_get failed

So, I'll check out this error, see if perhaps it was the root cause.

Thanks for this advice, since having followed it, I now have a stable Fedora 10 system! This is my followup to my previous posts, and I haven't had a single issue with Fedora 10 on my Acer since I fully patched it.

I still think they need to either update the downloads, or at least a nice notice on the page. I know perfectly well how important patching is, but the distro was (for me) essentially unusable without patching.
