Fedora Installation question.
Hello All,
I've just tried to install the new version of Fedora on AMD K6 400MHZ, When I boot the image cd from the cd, Fedora starts with the countdown. When the machine tries to reboot it gives me an error : "This Kernel requires the following features not present on the CPU: CMOV Unable to boot- Please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU. Can you guys explain me how I can fix this error to install this O/S? There is any way I can fix this?? Please let me know Thanks Fabio Almeida |
The default kernel that comes with Fedora 12 requires CMOV support in the CPU.
Your CPU does not support this. Get a new CPU or use a different distribution or older version. |
