Fedora i386 for intel celeron 1700.


hello, i need to install fedora to my celeron 1700 but i get error like this : your cpu does not support long mode, use a 32 bit distribution.

what must i do ?

So which version of fedora were you trying to install? Which ISOs did you download?
FC3-i386-disc1.iso
or
FC3-x86_64-disc1.iso

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm sick of Windows ME, and after spending several days installing XP on computers, I'm ready for something new. I had downloaded the discs a while ago, and I'm not sure which of the two I have now. I'm running a Celeron 700mhz. I would be very interested to hear advice from someone knowledgable.

ya i agree with "michaelk". you probably are trying to load the 64bit version.
