Fedora FC4: 82545EM NIC will not activate

First,
My apologies for 'highjacking' the other thread.
A good 2x4 upside the head was what I needed.
I have read Tinker's links and gotten the message.
I did have a URL in the text referring to redhat's hcl site.
I have removed it.
Second,
Thank you for providing such a valuable resource.
I have gathered some information that I will attempt and return with more data.

Fedora FC4:82545EM NIC will not activate (data)

Hello Everyone,
I have recently installed Fedora FC4 and cannot get the network card to operate. Here are my specs:
Intel(R) 82545EM Based Network Connection NIC.
Dual Procs:x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 5 GenuineIntel ~3065 Mhz
Display card:NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4800
When activating the device I get the following error:
Cannot activate network device eth0!
e1000 device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.

I have checked the hardware for redhat and found 20 different instances that it works.
I have downloaded the e1000-6.2.15.tar.g.zip file and installed the module with insmod, yum and modprobe, with no luck.
I still get the same error results.
I read in a different post to get the following information from these steps:
dmesg | grep eth
lspci
lspci -n

Here is the data:
[root@mymachine ~]# dmesg | grep eth
[root@mymachine ~]# lspci

error loading module

Hello Everyone,
Currently on this install, trying to load the module gives me this response:
error inserting /1: '2.6.11-1.1369-FC4smp/kernel/drivers/net/e1000/e1000.ko': -1 Files exists
What does '-1 Files exists' mean?
Thx for your support.
