Try "Fedora Linux" by Chris Tyler, published by O'Reilly at $39.99. It's aimed at versions 5, 6, and 7 but will do for 8. No one is going to write a new book every time a new version comes out: Fedora releases come out faster that you can get a book written and published. Was your book "Linux for Dummies"? If so, this one will tell you a lot you don't know, and even what you never knew you wanted to know.
