Fedora core 6 installation on amd64x2

Hello,

Im trying to install Fedora core 6 to an Acer 4520G laptop (AMD Turion TL-60 (2.0Ghz, 1MB L2Cache), 1 GB DDR2 , 120 GB SATA HDD)

Vista is already installed and running fine.

The Fedora installation is fine up until the partition configuration window. It says that there is not enough disk space.

Please Help.

Thanks!!

1st FC6 is beyond EOL (end of life) and is no longer supported. There will be no more official updates for it of any kind. Most of the third party repos have also dropped support for it. Fedora 9 is due to be released in a few days. I would try F8 or F9.

How much unused disk space is there?

Either try to shrink the Windows partition or uncheck some applications during Fedora install from being installed. A minimum install without X Windows will still need around 300-500 MB. For a reasonable install you should have 3 GB disk space.
