Fedora Core 4 - "localhost login" issues! need URGENT HELP!
 

First of all, I am a newbie when it come to linux!
i have followed the stept ( exactly as it says on "The Perfect Setup - HOW TO" ), i did specify a root password ( the only one that i could specify ). When Fedora boots, it asks me for a "localhost login" and a "password". the thing is that i don't remember during setup to have set such an account! please help me! what there is to be done here?

But you can type root and then supply the password as created previously.

Any problem with that?

Look like you may have omitted an account for an ordinary user but Fedora will forgive you as you can add it later.

You just need to log in as root. You'd be wise to make a normal user also, not sure what the command to do this under Fedora is though.

Please don't put things like "need urgent help" in your thread titles, because it won't help your threads get answered any more quickly.

That's normal. Your input is being accepted, but just not echoed.
