Fedora Core 3 Installion is frozen!
Heya,
I just brunt my 4 Fedora Core 3 CDs, and plunked the first one into the drive. I went through all the pre-install stuff, but about 10% through the installtion, it freezes. The mouse and keyboard stop working, the CD drive spins down, and it just won't respond. Any ideas? I checked the CDs with the built-in media checker and they all passed. Thanks in advance, Riggzy |
Try it on another PC with those same cd's and see if you have the same problem, because if you do your cd's are probably bad.

I did an MD5SUM (sp?) and it passed...I can't really test it out on this machine as I have all my important things on here (and backing it all up would take more CDs than I could buy ;-) )
It may have been the way I burned the ISOs... any hints on how to get the best writing? I bruned at 4x (slowest my drive could go) using Instant CD/DVD, which isn't the best program but it does ISOs and I had it. |
