Fedora Core 2 ldconfig

hello I have installed Fedora core 2 and I have been trying to tie link my installed application with that of other libraries and I do the standard 'ldconfig' as root of course and I get the shell tell me that the command in not found. Can somebody please lead me in the right direction, thanks again.

I think what rakriege means to indicate is: "try using the full path to ldconfig, which is normally /sbin/ldconfig". If it still doesn't work, try locate ldconfig to find out if it's on the system at all, and if it is, and you are running the command from a console as a user who has used the su command, then try running the command from a console as a user after using the su - command instead. Obviously, if it's not on the system for some reason, install it.

Hope this helps.
