Fedora and Grid Engine -> libxm.so.3

I've looked through the forums and found that installing openmotif may fix my problem. I tried it but to no avail. Here is my challenge, I'm trying to install Grid Engine on my VMWare fedora installation. I get this dependency error:

Quote:
rpm -i sun-sge-bin-linux24-x64-6.2-5.x86_64.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libXm.so.3()(64bit) is needed by sun-sge-bin-linux24-x64-6.2-5.x86_64
libXp.so.6()(64bit) is needed by sun-sge-bin-linux24-x64-6.2-5.x86_64
sun-sge-common = 6.2 is needed by sun-sge-bin-linux24-x64-6.2-5.x86_64
I installed the latest version of openmotif and when I do a search for the two files, there is no libxm.so.3 but libxp.so.6 is there. When I try to install the rpm again I still get the exact same error.

Thanks for any hints, suggestions or answers.

Robert

I have no clue which one to get for my fedora installation.

el4
el5
fc10
fc8
fc9
suse10
suse11
etc....

Is there some key somewhere to figure out the naming convention? I'm a little new to this.

And what should this package be used for ? ?
You are trying to install the 64 bit package =
sun-sge-bin-linux24-x64-6.2-5.x86_64.rpm
on a 32 bit Linux OS ? ? Or ?

Please show the output of the command : uname -a
And this one too : cat /etc/redhat-release
http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...Ask_a_Question
Have you got Fedora 5 ? Please specify OS by every question.

Installing sun-sge-bin-linux24-x64-6.2-5.x86_64.rpm on -> Linux VMfedora 2.6.31.5-127.fc12.x86_64 #1 SMP Sat Nov 7 21:11:14 EST 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The openmotif-devel package did the trick, but now I've his another snag to tackle:
Quote:
./util/install_modules/inst_common.sh: line 69: ./utilbin/lx24-amd64/uidgid: No such file or directory
./util/install_modules/inst_common.sh: line 70: ./utilbin/lx24-amd64/uidgid: No such file or directory
Can't find binaries for architecture: lx24-amd64!
Please check your binaries. Installation failed!
Thank you for your help knudfl
