Fedora 9 root login not recognized in terminal
 

I have just installed Fedora 9 successfully and everything is working fine - EXCEPT - I am attempting now to insstall XENOSS Core -which has to be logged in as root - I get a terminal windows up - type login
it prompts for username:root and password - comes up with incorrect password - I nm a newbie so it's surely something I am doing wrong
any help would be appreciated

Try
in place of login.

Thanks - I figured it was something I was doing -I think this site will be a great resource -I'll try it when I get back to work
