Fedora 8 Login Problems
 
Hi, I just installed Fedora 8 on a GX-1 with out any problems.. That is until I came to the login screen. It wont let me create an account or nothing. Plus during install it never asks for me to create a login only to create a main password (without login name). Nothing Ive tried works... This is my 3rd time installing.. Getting Frustrated! Help Please...

The password you create without a username will be the root password. Login to the root account with that password from the command line (Ctrl+Alt+F1 will give you a command line), then type adduser <username> and follow the prompts. After you have finished hit Alt+F7 to take you to the GUI. Now enter the username and password combination you just created and you should
have logged yourself in to your own account.
