Fedora 2008 shutdown/re-boot trouble
I installed Fedora 2008 (32-bit) on my desktop PC and I use KDE. All seems to work just fine. Expect...most of the time I have to shut down the system using the "shutdown -H now" command because the standard KDE's shutdown button doesn't do anything.
With the "shutdown" commnad, the system shuts down OK and the PC turns off.
It stays turned off all night, and in the morning when I get up, I find the PC turned on automatically with the Fedora login screen waiting for me to enter a username.
my question: Why this "auto" turn-on? is there anything I should configure in Fedora to prevent the PC from turning back on?
And, is there any clue for this shutdown trouble?
Thanks for any help.
